MAILEXPRESS OPENS NEXT-GENERATION CUSTOMER PROCESSING CENTER (CPC) IN MIDWEST REGION

Upgraded facility features advanced mail-processing capabilities, capacity to process over 1.5M packages weekly

ATLANTA, GA – NOVEMBER 10, 2008 – MailExpress, the leading provider of performance mail solutions for corporate customers nationwide, today announced the opening of a next-generation Customer Processing Center (CPC) outside Chicago, Illinois. Serving much of the upper Midwest region, the new CPC replaces MailExpress’ previous Chicago area facility with greatly expanded capacity, as the company continues to demonstrate surging momentum, in terms of customer and revenue growth as well as network infrastructure operations.

Featuring a state-of-the-art automated mail-processing system, the new Bensenville, Illinois CPC represents a significant upgrade from the previous facility. At approximately 40,000 square feet, the new CPC more than doubles the size over the previous site and boasts the capacity to process over 1.5 million packages a week.

"We're extremely proud and excited to have our latest next-generation CPC on line in the Midwest region," said Rick Rover, executive vice president of operations for MailExpress. "As our competitors continue to scale back operations during this time of business contraction, MailExpress' strong value proposition, laser-like focus on the performance mail segment, and operational nimbleness has enabled us to experience tremendous growth. As we continue to sign on new blue chip customers at a steady rate, we are able to fuel the growth of our operational infrastructure by expanding our proprietary network of processing facilities across the nation."

On the heels of the new Midwest regional facility, MailExpress is preparing to open its eighteenth distribution center mid November in Salt Lake City, Utah. MailExpress’ 17 nationwide facilities inject into 200+ United States Postal Service (USPS) facilities daily, delivering light parcels and flat mail into local markets throughout the country within 24 hours of origination processing. Using next-generation sorting automation and the company’s proprietary OnTrack™ technology, MailExpress is the only mail expediter to scan each piece of mail at both its origin and destination, enabling greater control with piece-level accountability and real time tracking, in addition to significantly reduced costs and faster delivery times.

Founded in 2005 by the same innovative team of industry veterans that invented the performance mail concept in 1996 while at SmartMail (bought by DHL), MailExpress is the only company in the industry focused solely on performance mail market. Specializing in the expedited delivery of light parcels and non-letter size mail (“flat mail or flats”) with reduced costs, first class speed, online tracking, and real-time analytics and customized reporting, MailExpress combines the strengths and capabilities of MailExpress’ nationwide processing and distribution network with the USPS to accelerate the “last mile” link in the delivery chain.
