MailExpress Pushes the Expedited Mail EnvelopeOnTrack™ Technology Allows Unprecedented Customization of Mail ProcessingAtlanta, GA – July 23, 2007 – MailExpress, Inc. (www.mailexpressinc.com) as deployed a state-of-the-art technology platform that revolutionizes the processing of expedited corporate mail. The system, called OnTrack™, automates and streamlines the processing of business mail called “flats,” which includes items such as direct marketing pieces, annual reports, brochures and catalogs, by handling the weighing, scanning, sorting, error correction, addresses verification and application of proper postage. The founders of MailExpress pioneered the expedited mail industry in 1996 at SmartMail, which was subsequently sold to DHL. After founding the company in 2004, MailExpress founders used their expertise to develop this sophisticated technology platform that eliminates the significant shortcomings that exist with other expedited mail processing systems. “Agency and corporate marketing customers asked for seemingly simple capabilities that were critical to their success,” said Bob Moss, MailExpress CEO. “As an example, they didn’t want the shipping labels applied to their mail pieces that are required by other expedited mail providers. Their investments in artfully branded mail designs were eroded when their brand was obscured by an unattractive shipping label. OnTrack™ allows for a customer defined Unique ID to be assigned to each mail piece, allowing integration with their existing label. The result is we require no extra label and the customer’s mail is processed exactly as they designed it, which protects their brand equity.” The brilliance of OnTrack™ is the Unique ID, which allows for piece level accountability, cost center accountability and real-time inventory decrement, with the latter providing customers with an extra level of customer service protection. Each customer can specify the Unique ID number, which can be represented by virtually any barcode they would like on the mail piece. For example, the customer may specify an order number is the Unique ID. Inventory DecrementWith a Unique ID assigned, MailExpress scans each piece and instantly compares that to the customer’s file of intended mail recipients. Often there will be a discrepancy between the quantity the customer intended to mail and what was actually mailed. OnTrack™ allows MailExpress to tell the customer there is a quantity discrepancy and exactly which people were not mailed. This provides MailExpress customers with a huge customer service safety net so they can immediately remedy the problem of non-received mail before the customer even knows about it. “If a customer thinks they mailed 500 pieces, but we only scan 475, we can not only tell our customer their quantity is off but we can identify the 25 people who would otherwise have not received the piece” said Moss. “The bottom line is that customers can enjoy better service, increased accuracy, more flexibility and cost-savings with MailExpress when compared to First Class Mail.” OnTrack™ is deployed in every MailExpress processing center in the U.S. For more information or a demonstration, visit the MailExpress website at www.mailexpressinc.com.
