Berman is a Partner at Adam Street Partners LLC, one of the oldest and largest investors in the private equity investment category. An independent employee-owned investment firm that provides private equity fund of funds and direct partnership capabilities to institutional clients, Adams Street Partners manages $12 billion of committed capital for clients in Australia, Japan, North America, the U.K. and Europe.

A seasoned and successful investor in venture and growth-oriented companies in the systems and components, software and business services sectors, Tom is responsible for a number of several successful investments including Creo Products (bought by Kodak), Depotech, Harris Interactive (NASDAQ: HPOL), IC Works, Jefferson Wells (bought by ManPower), Magnavox Electronic Systems, Netegrity (bought by CA), PathScale, SDL (bought by JDS Uniphase) and WallData. A highly respected and sought after board member, he currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Adams Harris, comScore Networks (NASDAQ: SCOR), Global MailExpress, Luminary Micro, RadPharm and the IVCA.

Tom's previous professional experience includes Brinson Partners/UBS Global Asset Management, Fairfield Venture Partners, and Hewlett Packard. He is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, holding both a B.S. degree as well as a graduate S.M. degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
