Linwood A. "Chip" Lacy, Jr.

Former Chairman and CEO of Ingram Micro Inc.

An industry visionary with deep experience in global technology distribution and logistics, Chip Lacy brings a wealth of experience as both a top executive and board member for a number of highly successful companies. Serving as MailExpress' Chairman of the Board, he was the former Chairman and CEO of Ingram Micro Inc.-the world's largest technology distributor with $35 billion in FY2007 revenues.

Dubbed "Distribution's Kingpin" by Computer Reseller News magazine upon his induction into the Industry Hall of Fame in 1997, Chip has had an impressive career in distribution that spans over 25 years. From 1985 to 1996, as CEO of Ingram Micro and its predecessor company, Micro D Inc., he increased worldwide sales from $120 million to $12 billion and raised profitability by more than $100 million.

Chip served on the board of Atlanta-based EarthLink and its predecessor EarthLink Network for twelve years, from 1996-2008, serving as chairperson of the board's Leadership and Compensation Committee since 2000. He has also served on the Board of Directors for EVault, which was sold to Seagate in 2007. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ingram Industries Inc., Confidex, and NETGEAR. Chip holds a B.S. from the University of Virginia, as well as his M.B.A. from UVa's Darden School of Business.
