Jim WatsonManaging Director, CMEA VenturesActively involved as an advisor to some of the most progressive, successful companies doing business today, Jim Watson is managing director of CMEA Ventures, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm that specializes in technology, life sciences and alternative energy investments. Prior to joining CMEA, Jim was consultant to several professional services firms and venture capital partnerships in the areas of strategic planning and partnering, board development and supply chain management. Jim was also one of the founders of Monterey Bay Partners, a venture management firm specializing in high-tech start-ups. Prior to that, Jim founded Skyway Systems, a logistics company that twice landed on the Inc. Magazine list of fastest growing U.S. companies. In 1993, Inc. named Jim as one of the Entrepreneurs of the Year. Prior to Skyway, Jim worked in IBM’s large computer systems division. Jim is on the board of Apriso, iSuppli, Inc., LiveOps, Odyssey, PathScale and Teros. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served five years as a Navy pilot. |
