In a prestigious career spanning more than two decades, Bob Moss has amassed extensive experience in sales, operations, supply chain management, technology and process management. He is recognized in the shipping, transportation and distribution industries for his expertise in employing leading-edge technology to enable operational excellence. Bob is responsible for MailExpress’ innovative mail services, state-of-the-art operations and tenacious commitment to customer service. His vision, “to perform beyond,” continually challenges MailExpress to contribute added value to customers’ operations and bottom line. A strong executive leader, Bob has steered several dynamic businesses in successful business ventures, high-growth projects and turnaround efforts. As Managing Partner of his own consulting business, he worked with management teams and evaluated emerging technology and transportation companies on behalf of various venture capital firms. As Chief Operating Officer of Air Cargo, Inc., Bob was part of the transformation team focused on transitioning the 60-year-old Annapolis financial services company to a national ground transportation operation enabling cargo movement for the airline community. Previously, Bob served as Senior Vice President of Operations for BAX Global, a $2 billion global integrated freight forwarder based in Irvine, CA. He was responsible for the company’s North American transportation span including commercial airfreight, a private air fleet and trucking network, in addition to the airline and trucking hub operation in Toledo, OH and the national Customer Service Center in Phoenix, AZ. He also worked for Fritz Companies, Inc., managing the largest import clearance operation in the world as an outsourced service provider for FedEx. Bob began his work in the transportation and supply chain business in 1985 with Skyway Freight Systems, Santa Cruz, CA, where he held a variety of financial, operations and client management positions. Bob was a key member of management helping Skyway to provide industry-defining operational and technology solutions that were years ahead of the industry for a variety of Fortune 500 clients. He attended the University of California in Santa Cruz and is a member of the Council of Logistics Management. |
